Cabinet instructed the Public Service Board to conduct an Inquiry into the operation of the Government Printing Office in 1981 and Mr D A Kearney was appointed to perform the task. Mr Kearney maintained his own correspondence files relating to the Inquiry and, after his retirement, approached the Archives Office of Tasmania. This series contains all relevant material still in Mr Kearneys possession in 1992. A copy of the Report is held by the State Library.
