Series notes:
Series comprises registrations for co-operative industrial societies under the Co-operative Industrial Societies Act 1928 (one registration appears to have been carried forward from the 1869 Act and has a 1910 start date on its registration sheet). A large portion of the societies appear to have been wound up, struck off or liquidated and some became credit unions. A numerical list at the beginning of the volume is annotated to reflect the status of the societies.
