Series notes:
Register of indictments filed in criminal cases. Initially only the indictment number and name of the person indicted are recorded. From May 1942 (indictment number 938) the date of filing and date and place of hearing are added. In December 1954 (indictment number 2011) this was expanded to place of hearing, date indictment filed, date of verdict or sentence, date of warrant to gaol and date exhibits returned. There is a nominal index in a booklet attached inside the back cover of the volume. For the period September 1951 to February 1957 (indictments 1401-2458) this series serves as an index and register to SC81/2-36.~
