Series notes:
Index, by name of private individual, Government Department, Municipality or property, to the files of the former Valuation Division of the Lands Department.~~ Indexes the "V", "VA" and "VB" sequences of valuation files. Where the file number on the index card has no prefix it is in the "V" sequence. Most of the "V" sequence has been transferred to the Archives Office as series AA560. The "VA" and "VB" sequences have been top-numbered into the Department's current series of general correspondence. The Department maintains a register of converted file numbers.~~
