This series comprises two separate indices which have been interfiled at some point.The main sequence of (orange) cards index the Land Case files (series LSD35). Each card records the subject, date of transaction, name of the private party, and file number (usually omitting the "LC" prefix).Another sequence of smaller plain white cards has a four-tier alphanumeric coding which refers to a series of "Old Admin" files which no longer exist. (These files have and "A" or "CL" prefix and a three tier numeric classificationn similar to that in the Register of Crown Land files, see AD915.) The files were presumably converted to the current general correspondence series (see AB567). The Department maintains registers of converted file numbers.~
