Index to Property Files, Lease and Licence files and some general administrative correspondence dealing with land.All the above categories of files were converted in 1990 to a new general correspondence series with a 6 digit continuous single number. Property Files, those with a "PF" prefix, were converted by deleting the prefix and adding zeroes to the start of the number. The Department maintains lists of conversion numbers for the lease, licence and general administrative files (the latter have a "G" prefix and are found in series LSD352). (Some of the renumbered files have been transferred to the Archives Office as series AB567.)Originally the Property Files were created only for parcels of land with a surveyed boundary. With the passage of time lease and licence files (even though shack sites, jetties, etc. do not usually have a surveyed boundary) were added to the PF series.Each card records the name of a company or individual, the location of the parcel of land, the nature of the transaction and the file number.This and a related series were replaced by the Recfind software package in 1989.~
