Research notes and correspondence about the history of Tasmanian quarantine stations, compiled at the Mount Pleasant Veterinarian Laboratory in Kings Meadows.

This file includes correspondence with members of the public who were interested in either employees of the quarantine stations or people who died from a Smallpox outbreak in 1903. Victims of this Smallpox outbreak were interned and also buried in the property now occupied by the Kings Meadows quarantine station. The establishment was originally called Verulam.

The file includes research conducted into the history of animal quarantine in Tasmania, notes on the Smallpox victim's graves at Kings Meadows and photos of the gravestones.
