Series notes:
These plans are for the 3 Beyer-Garratt (4-8-2 2-8-4) locomotives built for the Emu Bay Railway Company in 1929 by Peacock-Beyer in the UK and include modifications drawn by the company up to 1948 as well as copies of drawings from the Rail Branch of the Tasmanian Transport Commission and the Commonwealth Railways for modifications to the "Australian Standard Garratt" between 1943 and 1949.

There is also a sequence of 95 undated drawings by Dubs and Company of Glasgow for a "T" class locomotive and tender.

These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
System of Arrangement:
There is an index sheet for the sets of drawings provided by the manufacturers but no apparent order to the copies of Tasmanian and Commonwealth drawings (which do not seem to form a coherent set).
