Series notes:
Registers belonged to the Clerk of the Peace for the issue and return of writs of dedimus potestatum administering oaths of allegiance to Justices of the Peace. Contains name of appointee, who the writ was issued to, date of issue and return date. The first volume is indexed. The second volume also records address of appointee, executive minute number and a remarks column. Entries in the second volume are arranged according to where the JP was to serve.
