Series notes:
Leather-bound album, titled 'Musci'. Contains approx 200 specimens of mosses and liverworts (mostly British), organised by genera. Many of the liverwort specimens are attributed to 'Hooker', presumably Joseph Dalton Hooker - whether he collected them or named them is not clear. W.E.L.H Crowther notes that the volume 'came from Cedar Court', and the handwriting matches Morton Allport's: the collection may have been assembled, or begun, by Morton during his visit to England in 1852-54.
