How to Use:
Access requests must be directed to the Department of Education. Consignment 1 has a D level access restriction, while consignments 2 and 3 have an E access restriction. Consignments 1 and 2 are searchable by name. There are hard-copy lists only for the sequences in consignment 3 (held at Geilston Bay).
Series notes:
These began as batches of reports prepared by the Psychologists Division, which mainly served the south of the State until additional staff became available in 1956. When the Guidance Branch was formed in the 1960s it became the Southern Regional Office. The batch reports were apparently cut up to form the basis of files some time in the 1940s. The files contain standardised reports and occasionally some correspondence.
AA837/1-9 contains 14 files of Oatlands children. ED116/3/115-121 includes some files from the North-West Office.~
