Series notes:
This series brings together inward and outward Secretary of State despatches.Some relevant files were not included in the bound volumes at Government House because they were unlikely to be used frequently, or because they were in constant use. Those used infrequently were stored in the basement, and a note to this effect appears in the front of several volumes. The separated files have, however, been integrated with the loose files tied to the back of the relevant annual volume. In 1945 files 1 - 4 were replaced by the numbers 51D - 54D, D = Despatch and others marked as S = Safe.

Each volume has a contents list and 1933 has a subject list (GO 80). The last part of GO34 (1933) is registered in GO79
