Series notes:
These applications are for the lease of rural land for grazing purposes. This series has quite a long date range because the agency continued to file correspondence concerning the lease of certain parcels of land on these files despite the 1890 Crown Lands Act being superseded by the 1903 and 1905 Crown Lands Acts (for which there were separate record keeping arrangements). Similarly there are two files which pre-date this series start date because the agency removed correspondence from earlier records and placed them on these files.
