Series notes:
Proclamations, correspondence and associated papers relating to the resumption of land for roadworks and other purposes. Most file covers are cross-referenced to the relevant Valuation file and the Register of Crown Land files.

System of Arrangement:
A continuous single file number with an 'LC' prefix, followed by the file title. Entries identified as 'no file' were created as an aid to indicate no file with that particular reference number has been transferred to the Archives Office. Numerous files have in the past been borrowed back by the Lands and Surveys Department and permanently retained by the agency.
