How to Use:
This Register provides access to the papers in LTO22, filed when Property owners were required to transfer their properties from Deed Memorials to the new system, "The Real Property Act", which issued Certificates of Title.
Post 1862, Certificates of Title were mandated for property sales.
The Register is organised in chronological order and is displayed across two pages.
On the first page an application number gives access to the information available in LTO22.
The "application" number provided in LTO25 is a "file" number in LTO22. Where the application number is 13 - check LTO22 for the volume range that includes File 13. In this case its LTO22 Volume 1 . Request this as LTO22/1/1 File 13. When requesting the file also provide the applicants name. (Grubb)
On the second page the new Certificate of Title's reference is provided in Volume and Folio, in Roman numerals. Convert these to locate the online Certificates of Title in Series AG247.
In the same example Application 13 produces a new Certificate of Title Volume I folio 5
This converts to AG2471/1/1 then CT1-5
The new Certificate of Title references the application number, appearing as "Apply 13 CT" in the top left corner.
