Series notes:
Initially the boat and waterman licences were handwritten. Later the boat licence recorded the name of the boat, length, depth, breadth, the number of people the boat is licensed to carry, the master warden's signature and the name of the licensee. The later waterman licences have been maintained as a separate series (ref. AE933)
