Raymond Charles Hutchinson was born in 1909 and graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1937. He was a biochemist and food scientist. He worked in government, was a Senior Food Scientist with the Army (c1958-1974) and was involved in developing the new ration packs used during World War 2.
