Marjorie Bligh is most noted for her service to the community, her craftwork and recycling activities. She was born in Ross to Oscar and Emma Pearsall (nee Martin) in 1917. She has married three times and has two sons. She is the author of six books including the autobiography, Life is for Living, and has been a regular contributor to Tasmanian newspapers. She was a foundation member of the Campbell Town Country Women's Association.
