The Anglesea Theatre Club was an amateur theatrical group. It was initially formed in 1960 by members of the Army at Anglesea Barracks, together with family and friends, hence the name. Its first production was held in 1961. Until 1970 plays were presented to the public at Anglesea Barracks and thereafter at other venues around Hobart, including the Philip Smith Theatre, Hobart Domain. The Club endeavoured to perform two to three plays a year for the public and to offer members practical experience in all aspects of theatrical production and stage craft.;;The club folded in the late 1980s.
