The Project was funded by the Fishing Industry Research and Development Council. Over 160 fishers and others were interviewed and the resulting tapes and transcripts were offered to relevant institutions in the States of the interviewees. The Project Co-ordinator was Dr Malcolm Tull of Murdoch University
