Ronald Herbert Brown was born on 29 January 1915 at Glen Huon, Tasmania. Ronald served in Bougainville during World War 2. After the war he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Tasmania. He worked as a teacher and an orchardist and was elected to the Tasmanian Parliament as a Member of the Legislative Council. He served from May 1948 to May 1966. He married Shirley Hungerford in 1940 in New South Wales and they had three children - (Joanne) Penelope, Bronwyn and Christopher Kenelm.;;Ronald Brown died on 5 April 1992.;;;;
