Merrill (sometimes Merril) Alvin Lewis lived on the Eastern Shore of Hobart and was listed in the Tasmanian electoral rolls as a telephone mechanic. He was the son of Arthur William Lewis and Amelia Elsie Lewis (formerly Nash). He was involved with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where his funeral was held in December 2012.
