Description:
Robert Vincent has been a heritage architect and urban planner. He attended Hutchins School for boys from 1950 to 1964. Following his high school graduation Robert studied at the Tasmanian College of Advanced Education and the University of Tasmania from 1966 to 1984 gaining postgraduate qualifications in architecture, planning and conservation. Robert began his career working as a Research Officer for the Town & Country Planning Commission in 1974. In 1985 he joined the Hobart City Council as an Assistant Architect a role in which he undertook project management work on the Sullivans Cove redevelopment. In 2000 Robert joined the Australiian Antarctic Division as a Heritage Officer conducting conservation studies of Wilkes Base, Antartica among other AAD sites. For many years Robert has been offering his skills in training, consultancy and hands-on heritage and conservation work on a number of projects and sites in the Hobart and greater Hobart area.
