The original state - wide organisation was probably called the Ski Council of Tasmania and later changed its name to the Tasmanian Ski Council. This had a Northern and a Southern division. This is still the name of the state wide organisation but the northern division is now called the Ben Lomond Ski Association (BLSA), whose largest and oldest club is the Northern Tasmanian Alpine Club (NTAC). and the southern division is now called the Southern Tasmanian Ski Association. (STSA).;;;;Member clubs include the Ski Club of Tasmania, Hobart Walking Club and the Wellington Ski Club, The Alpine Club, University Ski Club, Oldina Ski Club and the Mawson Ski Club previously called the RHH Ski Club.;;;;;;
