The National Trust consists of a number of Groups and Committees working on behalf of the organisation with wide expertise in conservation and heritage management. Some committees, are specifically related to the day to day operation of National Trust properties. Others have an active role in fundraising and co-coordinating activities to help the organisation address its roles in education and community heritage involvement. The National Trust Womens' group wound up in June 1999 after about 30 years operation. This group was involved in the former National Trust shop in Salamanca Place.
