Description:
The Parish of the Southern Midlands was created in 1995 after the amalgamations of two previously amalgamated Parishes - the Parish of Bothwell/Kempton/Bagdad and the Parish of Oatlands/Jericho. In 2010, the Southern Midlands Parish consisted of four main population centres (Oatlands, Bothwell, Kempton, and Bagdad) and nine smaller centres (Baden, Dysart, Jericho, Lower Marshes, Montacute, Melton Mowbray, Parattah, Apsley, and Tunbridge). Churches in this Parish included St Peter's Oatlands and St John's Rosehill. In June 2019 the Anglican Parish of Northern Midlands merged with the Anglican Parish of Southern Midlands, forming the large Midlands Parish.
