Eric Saxon was a teacher with interests in photography and bush walking. ;;Born in England, Eric migrated to Tasmania with his mother Alice Saxon in 1918 where they joined his father, George Frederick Saxon, a herd tester for the Yolla Herd Testing Association.;;Eric joined the 40th Battalion in WWII, and spent time with the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces. He contributed articles to the Mercury newspaper on his experiences of life in occupied Japan.;;Eric Saxon relocated to Queensland where he was living in 2002.
