Description:
The Ethnic Communities' Council of Tasmania formed as a lobby group representing migrant communities held its first meeting on 16 December 1978. In the 1990s it was renamed the Multicultural Council of Tasmania. It has links with the Multicultural Tasmania division of DPaC from which it receives some funding.
