These papers were loaned to P L Brown for use in the Clyde Company Papers and were returned to one of the daughters of A A Reid. The papers were then deposited jointly by his daughters Mrs Gray and Mrs Lamprell.;;;;The Reid family lived at Ratho, Bothwell and the family members whose papers form part of this Agency registration are Jane Reid, later Mrs Williams, Lucy Lempriere, later Mrs A Reid and Messrs A Reid senior and junior.
