Tim Bowden is an author, radio and television documentary maker broadcaster and oral historian. Tim was born in Hobart and and studied at the University of Tasmania, where he graduated with a Batchelor of Arts degree in 1960. Tim enjoyed a long career with the Australian Broadcasting Commission, working in both radio and television. He was well known as the host of the ABC program 'Backchat' from 1986-1994. Tim has written numerous books, including 'The Way My Father Tells It', 'One Crowded Hour-Neil Davis Combat Cameraman', 'The Silence Calling' and 'Changi Camera'.
