Thomas Wilkinson was born in 1764 in London. He married Sarah Barker in 1798 in Surrey and had five children, William, Edward, Thomas, Henry, and Alfred Hoffman. Their son Thomas died not long after their fifth son was born. The family arrived in Hobart on 12 July 1823 on board the Elizabeth. Thomas Wilkinson died in their residence in New Town in 1846, aged 87. 10 years later, Sarah died. ;;;;William Wilkinson was the family's eldest child. He married Sarah Smith in 1836. Sarah died in 1867. ;;The second son, Edward Wilkinson, married Mary Ann Worthy in 1830. He worked as a cashier at the Bank of Van Diemen's Land. Henry Wilkinson, the fourth son, worked as a surveyor with the Survey Department, Secretary to the Land Board, Clerk to the Caveat Board and later Town Clerk of Hobart. He was married three times, to Hannah Wilcock, Martha Sarah Bryant, and Margaret Stirling. He lived on Melville Street and died in 1885. The youngest son, Alfred Hoffman Wilkinson, married Elizabeth Wilcock in 1847. He died in 1873. Elizabeth remarried William Urquhart two years later, and died in 1888. ;;Henry Wilkinson married his first wife, Hannah Wilcock, in 1832. The couple had Charles Henry, Julia Sarah, Henry, James Lord, Hannah Joseph, and David Thomas Wilkinson. Hannah died in 1846, aged 34. Henry married Martha Sarah Bryant two years later. They had Harry Richard Clemenston, Virginia, David Arthur Barclay, and Clara Wilkinson. Martha died in 1861. Henry married third wife, Margaret Stirling, in 1877. Margaret worked as Head Nurse at the Cascades Female Invalid Depot. Henry died in 1885.;;David Thomas Wilkinson, the son of Henry and his first wife Hannah, was born in 1840. He married Henrietta Rosaline Scott in 1884. Henrietta was born in England and arrived in Australia at 3 years old. The couple had two daughters, Margaret Elizabeth and Florence Hannah. ;;
