Mr Robert Thomas Norman (Bob) McKenzie, the compiler of the scrapbook, had a long association with the St Andrew's Caledonian Pipe Band. He was the foundation pipe major in 1933, life member and president at the time of his death on 20 February 1983. Mr McKenzie was born in Launceston on 4 June 1905 to Norman and Margaret McKenzie.
