Description:
Lloyd George Webb, son of Albert and Ella, was born in Launceston in 1916. Educated at Wellington Square Practising School and Scotch College, he joined Bender and Co. Pty. Ltd in 1932, and was appointed a director in 1937. Benders ceased trading in 1973. In 1941 he married Molly Harvard Alice Wryell. They had two children, Pamela Ann (b.1943) and Peter Lloyd (b.1944). Mr Webb was very interested in Tasmania's postal, shipping, and architectural heritage.
