Dr Samuel Middleton Ware and his two sisters Margaret Ann (1883-1967) and Gertrude Jane (1881-1952) came to Tasmania on a holiday in the 1920s. Samuel was an amateur photographer and film maker with an interest in fish and bird life. The Ware's were all born in Victoria to parents Samuel Ware and Hannah Livock Bowen. Samuel Ware (1880-1941) trained as a doctor in Edinburgh, Scotland and in WWI he served as a Captain in the Medical Corps. In 1911 he joined the insurer AMP Society as a medical referee. He worked for AMP for thirty years, located mainly at the Taree District Office in New South Wales. None of the siblings married.
