Voluntary organisation which co-ordinates fundraising activities and examines items concerning schools. Proceeds raised are used to purchase items for schools that cannot be paid for by the Education Department. The club has had several names including the Combined Mothers' Club, Launceston and Suburban Mothers' Club and Launceston and Tamar Valley Mothers' Club. In 1958 the name was again changed to the Northern Federation of State Schools Mothers' Club.
