Brian Roy Chamberlain was born on 2 Oct 1931 in Sydney, NSW. He served in the Korean War as an airframe fitter in Unit No. 77 (Fighter) Squadron from 18 November 1953 to 12 October 1954. He lived in Launceston in the 1980s-90s when he published six books on the history of early transport in Tasmania (1985-1993).
