Peter Garth Richardson was a senior librarian with the State Library of Tasmania in Burnie and Launceston. He was the instigator and project manager for many online services including Tasmania's eHeritage and Tasmanian Communities Online. He has written many articles and edited several books on Tasmanian history and developed the interactive website for the Launceston Family Album. He retired in 2009 when he received an Australian Post Graduate Research Award to study convicts and crime in Tasmania in the second half of the nineteenth century.
