Captain Michael Vicary of Rostrevor at Triabunna was a soldier in the 63rd Regiment and public servant in the colonial administration of Van Diemen's Land.;;He held various appointments including, Inspector of Roads at Oatlands, Police Magistrate at Bothwell and Storekeeper at the Ordinance Store in Hobart. Michael and Eliza Vicary (nee Murray) had 6 children - Henry James, Thomas William, John Myers (d. 1820), John Meyers, Mary Ann, George and Ellen.;;
