Betty Cunningham is a resident of Burnie, North-West Tasmania, and former employee of Associated Pulp and Paper Mills Ltd. (APPM), where she worked as a paper counter in the 1960s and 1970s (she was Counter No. 29). APPM was one of the first businesses to provide large-scale job opportunities for women in the Burnie region.
