Tasmanians for a Healthy Democracy (THD) was established in April 2008.;;It was a community organisation founded by Marion Nicklason that aimed to improve governance in Tasmania at all levels by participating in discussion and dialogue with state and local governments, bureaucracies, and regulatory bodies. In April 2008 it organised public meetings in Hobart and Launceston that attracted nearly 1000 people.;;It was actively involved in debates over the form and function of proposed anti-corruption and ethics mechanisms - for example, in September 2008 THD presented a submission to the Tasmanian Joint Select Committee on Ethical Conduct. ;;It was an incorporated body from 19/5/2008 to 27/10/2011.;;
