Luke Tscharke is a landscape and nature photographer whose interests include wilderness, infra-red and wide-field astrophotography. His work has been recognised by awards in many photography competitions, and through publication in books, calendars, and magazines. Tscharke also works with corporate clients, tourism organisations, and charities. As a contributor to Australian Geographic Magazine, he has contributed several magazine covers, with his first feature story published in January 2018 on the remote Western Arthur Range in Tasmania. An accredited professional photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) Tscharke runs photography workshops across Australia. As at 2019 Tscharke was based in Hobart, relocating to Tasmania from Sydney in July 2017. Tscharke originally trained in microbiology, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, and was employed as a quality assurance professional.
