Description:
The Articled Clerks' Association was a subscription association that commenced in Hobart from 1866. The primary objective was to promote and facilitate the study of law. The Association gathered fortnightly for lectures and debates on legal topics, to discuss the purchase and circulation of legal publications, and "the adoption and promotion of all measures calculated to professionally benefit the members of the association." The Association was managed by an Executive Committee of seven members, elected annually.
