Mount Stuart Progress Association was established in 1948 as a community group of the benefit ot residents of the suburb of Mount Stuart in the greater Hobart area. Initial achievements of the group include establishing a newsletter for the residents and building the Mount Stuart Memorial Hall. The group maintained the Hall and newsletter, caring for the Hall amenities and grounds.;;The group ceased operating on 31/12/2014. From 2015 it operated as two incorporated entitles - the Mt Stuart Residents Association Inc and Mt Stuart Hall Association Inc.;;
