The Ross War Memorial Club was an association organised for the benefit of ex-service people. The club operated out of a repurposed building that was originally an ordinance office built in 1836. The building was used by the Ross Council as a Council Chambers for a number of years. The building was opened as the 'Ross War Memorial' in August 1951 and included the public library, a reading room, a billiards room, a sports room, and a kitchenette,
