Series notes:
The Tasmanian Great Western Railway and Electric Power Company was formed in Adelaide and appointed Russell, Young and Butler as its Tasmanian agents. A survey of the proposed route was carried out in 1904 but the Company was unable to raise the finance (in London) to build the line.
