Series notes:
The collection includes many log books of ships out of Hobart on whaling voyages in southern waters. There are also many logs of coastal trading vessels on their runs between the inter-colonial ports of Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand. Some of the volumes were created by Alfred Kennerley, who began his career as a cadet in the East India Company.
