Series notes:
In 1960 E R Pretyman gave a talk to the Royal Society using slides he had made from photos of old Hobart and recent photos he had taken himself. Many of the old images in this collection are copies Mr Pretyman made from his glass plate negative collection which has also been transferred to the Archives Office
