Series notes:
Correspondence with clients, business associates etc. and related papers such as invoices, trade bills and accounts, bills of lading etc. Correspondence includes some partners' correspondence relating to bank affairs, shares and trading ventures, including imports of wine, dried fruits, tobacco and other goods from South Africa and Mauritius, export of wool and com to London etc. and other pastoral business, and correspondence with the London agent, Robert Brooks. Most correspondence was addressed to Lewis Gilles, Manager of the bank.
