This film was donated at the library in Launceston. It contains 3.43 minutes of footage of a train journey to Evandale with adults and children disembarking then walking from the station. There are scenes of recreational activity, comprising a variety of sports and games which are played on grounds that may either be public or school grounds. Some children appear to be wearing uniform. There is footage of a car, number plate 4J2903.

Pencil annotation on the film container, indicates that this may have been a picnic for Examiner newspaper staff, and the film package was addressed to Gordon B Rolph, c/- the Examiner and Courier Office, Launceston. The annotation reads: "EX picnic". The film is 16mm b&w cine-kodak panchromatic and has an expiry date of June 1932, which dates this footage at approx. c.1930
