Series notes:
This collection comprises two "scrapbooks/ photo-journals" which document different periods of Maggie Weidenhofer's life.
The first volume was compiled by Maggie's mother, Joan, when Maggie was growing up and contains a journal of Maggie's early life, photographs and maps of places Maggie and her family visited, including Madang in New Guinea. It also includes photographs of Maggie's childhood, greeting cards and correspondence sent to Maggie by relatives.
The second volume was compiled by Maggie herself and contains photographs of life events, newspaper and magazine articles written by Maggie while she was a journalist, reviews of the historical books she had published and correspondence relating to her publications.
Both volumes retain their original order and integrity to faithfully represent Maggie and her mother Joan's lives and interests.
